It is Lindsay!

Hola mi familia!

I have posted a fun pic. from ourlast trip to So Cal. Us cousins checked out a local brewery and had alot of fun tasting all of the different brews. Scott has finally passed his training with the Sheriff's Dept. and is now on patrol by himself. I am very proud of him. I am sad to say that our little puppy Clyde went to heaven as he was very sick. We are saddened by his loss and are going to hold off on getting another dog anytime soon. The weather was beautiful this weekend and we planted a big garden to enjoy this summer. It is full of tomatoes, bell peppers, jalepenos, corn, chives......the list goes on. The wildflowers are in full bloom in the foothills right now and we took an amazing hike yesterday to enjoy them all. I took some greats pics and the one above shows a field of poppies. We hope that everyone is enjoying spring, talk with you soon.

Tamales

Hey all'

I am glad to see people are able to post updates.  It is the weekend.  Yeah!!!  I find out next week if I am laid off due to budget cuts so keep us in your prayer.  Things are looking more hopeful than originally predicted.  However we are still leery to be counting on a teaching job for next year.  So..  I will keep you updated.

Our family is attempting to make Tamales today.  My cousin Amber is coming over with her little girls and husband to teach us.  I will let you know how it goes.  Hopefully well.  I love tamales.

We were so lucky to have Lindsay and Scott stay with us last weekend.  It had been to long.  It was so much fun.  We really miss you guys.  We love you.

Nick and I finished a sustenance fast this week.  Our pastor challenged the congregation to only eat a cup of beans and rice a day for 5 days to have a little knowledge and compassion for those who are truly in poverty.  Over 70 % of the world's population eats less than that a day.  We were broken and hungry but felt ever more blessed for all the abundance we have.  Our church is partnering with an organization called International Justice Mission.  They help free people around the world from true injustice and oppression.  It is amazing what God has enabled them to do.  If you are interested check out their website.  www.IJM.org

Lastly, It is so great to hear from Bob and Mary and to hear that your new granddaughters are doing well.  Looking forward to seeing pictures of them.

We love you all,
Breann

Hi to all, Just to let you know, yesterday, Lonna & I went to visit our new little Great-Nieces over at Brian & Amanda's home. Lonna, made 2 small afghans for the twins & we took those over. The twins are now over 4 lbs. & gaining a strong foothold on life.

They are still very tiny & will need a lot of love & nourishment, but we think that won't be a problem at all. Mommy & Daddy seem so happy with the little girls. Plus, we are certain tha Grandma & Grandpa Barry, will have them spoiled in no time at all.

We enjoyed our visit & was happy to get to see the girls, but didn't stay too long on our first, but not last visit. Love Ya ! Wayne & Lonna

Hello, Young Barry's, this is the elder Barry (not the wine) and here in Idaho, we are happy to announce that "WINTER" is losing its grip, SPRING is on the way, Yahoo!! I saw about 25 Robins the other day. That is definitely a sign. Love Ya!!
Hey guys...it's Bob and Mary in Oregon!! What a fantastic way to stay in touch! Wayne and Lonna told us about the blog! We are so glad they did! Having lunch together on Friday...I know this is just a blog, but hope you don't mind that this is a bit long for our first time!

Lots going on up here is "God's country"! At least, that's what we call it until a storm or a heat wave! We miss you all and just want to tell you our latest news. Our baby girls were released from the NICU on Sunday. They are now home with their family! Gavin got to meet his sisters for the first time. Since he is only four, he wasn't permitted in the NICU unit, so he's only seen pictures. Bob and I are visiting them this evening. I'll takes pictures and post them.

Since we haven't seen anyone for so long...here's the short version:

Chris is completing her Masters in Elementary Education through OSU, is a rep for "Scensy" products and loves being a mom; Rob is working for the Owyhee Irrigation District; MaKaylee, 12 1/2, is in 7th grade and planning a school trip to DC, while training her horse for fair; Blake, 6 1/2, is in 1st grade, is raising goats for fair and loves dirt bikes.

Amanda is VP and Manager at Bank of the West, Ontario and, of course, being a mom; Brian works for a local construction company as an Excavating Foreman; Gavin is 4 and is in pre-school. He loves 4-wheelers and any kind of trucks; the twins, Payton and Paylon, 1 month and 3 days, are just growing stronger everyday. They love sleeping and eating! Amanda is also a mom to Catona, 9 1/2, who loves to draw and Vanessa 13, who is really into fashion designing and loves reading suspense! Amanda's a 29 year-old mother of five and loving her it!

Bob is busy completing the renovation of our 1939 farm house and two acres we purchased in Nyssa in 2007 (it's now 3300 sq ft! He cleans it, too!) and he loves going to auctions, family days and meeting me for lunch! I've been at the same place for 16 years as a VP/Division Manager at Intermountain Community Bank, in Ontario, OR. I just love traveling with Bob and our family times. We also have Lilly, a 2 1/2 year old chocolate Labradoodle. She spends most of her day running behind Bob, whom she adores!

God has truly blessed us and we praise him for everyday we have together! We love you all and would love to see pictures. Our e-mail is rmbarry@q.com.
