It is Lindsay!

Hola mi familia!

I have posted a fun pic. from ourlast trip to So Cal. Us cousins checked out a local brewery and had alot of fun tasting all of the different brews. Scott has finally passed his training with the Sheriff's Dept. and is now on patrol by himself. I am very proud of him. I am sad to say that our little puppy Clyde went to heaven as he was very sick. We are saddened by his loss and are going to hold off on getting another dog anytime soon. The weather was beautiful this weekend and we planted a big garden to enjoy this summer. It is full of tomatoes, bell peppers, jalepenos, corn, chives......the list goes on. The wildflowers are in full bloom in the foothills right now and we took an amazing hike yesterday to enjoy them all. I took some greats pics and the one above shows a field of poppies. We hope that everyone is enjoying spring, talk with you soon.

Tamales

Hey all'

I am glad to see people are able to post updates.  It is the weekend.  Yeah!!!  I find out next week if I am laid off due to budget cuts so keep us in your prayer.  Things are looking more hopeful than originally predicted.  However we are still leery to be counting on a teaching job for next year.  So..  I will keep you updated.

Our family is attempting to make Tamales today.  My cousin Amber is coming over with her little girls and husband to teach us.  I will let you know how it goes.  Hopefully well.  I love tamales.

We were so lucky to have Lindsay and Scott stay with us last weekend.  It had been to long.  It was so much fun.  We really miss you guys.  We love you.

Nick and I finished a sustenance fast this week.  Our pastor challenged the congregation to only eat a cup of beans and rice a day for 5 days to have a little knowledge and compassion for those who are truly in poverty.  Over 70 % of the world's population eats less than that a day.  We were broken and hungry but felt ever more blessed for all the abundance we have.  Our church is partnering with an organization called International Justice Mission.  They help free people around the world from true injustice and oppression.  It is amazing what God has enabled them to do.  If you are interested check out their website.  www.IJM.org

Lastly, It is so great to hear from Bob and Mary and to hear that your new granddaughters are doing well.  Looking forward to seeing pictures of them.

We love you all,
Breann
